HOW TO ENTER:
Look for the Official Entry Form online at www.omaha.com between January 1, 2014 - December 31, 2014. A total of twelve (12) winners (one per month) will each receive a $250 gift certificate to a specific advertiser within Metro Values. The retail value of each gift certificate is $250. Each gift certificate shall be redeemable at the business identified on the certificate but in all instances each gift certificate shall be subject to such additional terms, conditions, and restrictions (including, but not limited to, expiration dates) as may be set forth by the issuer of such gift certificate. Winners will be notified promptly after the drawing. All taxes and all other expenses associated with the acceptance and/or use of this prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

B. All entries must be received by midnight of the entry cut-off date. If any entry is not received until after an entry cut-off date, such entry shall not be placed in the drawing immediately following such entry cut-off date, but shall be put in the next drawing. Each entry is valid for one (1) drawing and after a drawing has taken place, the non-winning entry forms shall not be entered into the next drawing.

Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries. Only one (1) entry is allowed per drawing per household. In addition, there will only be one (1) winner per household, i.e. once a person has won a drawing, no other members of the same household are eligible for future drawings. No mass-produced or photocopied entries will be accepted. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or damaged are void and will not be accepted or eligible. Only legible and complete entry forms will be accepted and eligible. The Omaha World-Herald Company ("Sponsor") is not responsible for misdirected, lost, late or damaged entries. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

One winner will be selected on each drawing date in a random drawing which, in Sponsor's sole discretion, may be conducted by a computer or software random number generator based on a number assigned to each eligible entry. The drawing will be conducted by the Omaha World-Herald, whose decision is final on all matters relating to this contest. The winner need not be present at the drawing to win.

Each winner will be notified by phone or e-mail. Prizes must be claimed within two business days of the drawing date at the Omaha World-Herald, 1314 Douglas Street, Suite 600, Omaha, Nebraska. If the Sponsor is unable to locate a given winner, an alternate winner will be selected by a random drawing. All prizes are non-transferable. No cash or other substitutions are allowed.

By submitting an entry for this contest, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and any decision Sponsor makes regarding this promotion. The decisions of the Sponsor shall be final in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify from the contest, and to prosecute to the fullest extent permitted by law, any participant or winner who, in Sponsor's reasonable suspicion, tampers with the Omaha World-Herald's website (omaha.com), the entry process, or violates these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the transmission of this promotion and award the prizes from among the eligible entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal.

The promotion and the rights and obligations of Sponsor and participants will be governed and controlled by the laws of the State of Nebraska, applicable to contracts made and performed therein without reference to the applicable choice of law provisions. All actions, proceedings, and litigation relating hereto will be instituted and prosecuted solely within the State of Nebraska, Douglas County. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state courts of Nebraska and federal courts located within the state and county with respect to any action, dispute, or other matter directly or indirectly pertaining to or arising out of this promotion, any prize, or any acceptance, possession or use of any prize. Participants in this contest hereby waive any right to jury trial relating to this contest against the Sponsor. With respect to any claim against the Sponsor relating to this contest or any prize, any acceptance, possession or use of any prize, valid service of process and proper filing of any claim in a court of competent jurisdiction must occur within three (3) months of the date such claim accrued, or such claim shall be forever waived, barred and discharged.

Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winners' names and addresses for purposes of advertising promotion and publicity without additional compensation. Each winner is responsible for payment of all taxes associated with receipt of prize.

MISCELLANEOUS:
If for any reason the contest is not capable of being conducted as planned due to any cause beyond the control of Sponsor, including but not limited to any event or cause which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest and disqualify any individual who may have caused any such problem. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problem or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or delays, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmissions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate in this contest or damage user's system as a result of participation in this contest or downloading any information necessary to participate in the drawing.

If a dispute arises regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the entry was made.

By entering this contest, each entrant agrees that (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the drawing or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs, directly or indirectly associated with entering this contest, but in no event will attorneys' fees be awarded or recoverable; and (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby knowingly and expressly waives all rights to, any damages other than actual out-of-pocket expenses.

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. IN NO EVENT SHALL SPONSOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF SPONSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THE DAMAGES. REGARDLESS OF WHETHER ANY REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE, IN ANY EVENT THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF SPONSOR TO ANY PERSON DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY RELATING TO THIS CONTEST OR THE AWARD, USE OR ENJOYMENT OF ANY PRIZE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE SUM OF $10.00.
